Convert supported still images to JPEG with an explicit background color and quality setting. SVG, GIF and BMP are supported with bounded dimensions; HEIC is not supported.

Supported inputs and output changes

Still PNG, JPEG, WebP, self-contained static SVG, GIF and modern BMP are supported. GIF exports only its first frame. SVGs with linked resources, scripts or embedded HTML are rejected. HEIC and AVIF are not supported. JPEG flattens transparency and uses lossy compression; metadata and color profiles may change.

How to convert images to JPG online

1. Upload one or multiple PNG, WebP, SVG, GIF, or BMP images.
2. Adjust the JPEG quality slider (90% is optimal for photography and web graphics).
3. Choose how to handle transparent areas: select clean white, solid black, or any custom brand color.
4. Click Convert to JPG and download your optimized JPG files instantly.

Why do PNG images get black backgrounds when converted to JPG?

The JPEG format does not support transparency (alpha channels). Many online tools simply discard transparency, which defaults to an unintended black box. Millebits lets you explicitly select your background replacement color to keep graphics crisp and clean.

Is my image data kept private?

Yes. Conversion is handled purely inside your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your pictures are never sent over the internet or saved to remote databases.
