Output limits and encoding
Rotation re-encodes pixels, so metadata and color profiles may change. JPEG flattens transparency and uses lossy quality. Large rotated bounds above 24 MP are rejected. Keep your original.

Do rotated photos lose quality?
When rotated at 90°, 180°, or 270°, pixels undergo exact coordinate remapping without loss. Selecting PNG output preserves the exact quality and transparency of your original graphic.
Why do non-orthogonal angles expand the image?
Rotating by arbitrary angles (e.g. 15° or 45°) tilts rectangular corners outward. Our tool automatically expands the canvas bounding box so that no part of your image gets cut off.
